SOLD on REVERB 2004 Ted Thompson T2X Deluxe 12 Fret Cedar/Flame Maple
I picked this up from AGF over three months back. Was instantly mesmerized by the tone of this one. Told myself I would never sell it. Well.......let's just say I'm never going to tell myself that again. Found a great deal on a new Joshua House Fingerstyle cedar/black cherry and so reluctantly I need to let this go.
The previous owner said there was a repair on the treble side of the body. It will be pictured in the Reverb ad link. When I changed strings I inspected it from the inside. It did not appear to be a crack repair but I cannot be certain. Nevertheless it is very solid and besides the finish blemish, one would never notice. It is a fingerstyle dream with 1-3/4" nut and 2-3/8" bridge string spacing. Since this was going to be a "keeper" I had added Macassar tuner buttons to match the fretboard and headstock. Ted's guitars are getting harder and harder to find since he retired. Thompson and House
Wow - nice guitar. May I ask where you got a great deal on a House fingerstyle? Do they have more? My daily player has been a Thompson for the past 6 years, and the only other guitar I am looking for is a House!
I bet your Thompson is a great guitar - the only thing I wish mine had was wider spacing at the bridge, like yours. I hadn't realized Ted made them like that. GLWS. |
