Thanks, Mike!

A quick shot of the binding. The first batch of leopardwood I ever came across was darker and more purple. I kept my eye out for more for years with no luck and I finally broke down and bought a board of the lighter color. Turns out I like it as much, maybe more. The red in the purfling is bloodwood, the only wood I know of that stays red over time. All other woods with red in them turn brown over time.

The neck is ready for the fingerboard and final shaping. Will post photos of that next week.

Have a good weekend!

The jumbo is at the finisher and he said he would get me some pictures when he gets the first clear coats on. At the moment, it's in the pore filling stage and not much to look at. Maybe later today but for now, all I can do is wish you a very happy anniversary!

I'm not usually a fan of maple backed guitars, but yours looks fantastic. Great eye.

The Concert went to the finisher last week and I got these shots of the Jumbo today. The shots are a little grainy but even so, the depth of the figure really shows. More in a couple of weeks....

Yes Trevor, this one looks truly special...

I am very pleased that you are carrying Chasson guitars...means I may get to lay hands on one someday, and then...who knows!

Thanks, all.

Trevor, I have guests in town but should be able to get the final setup done and ship it out this week.

Andromeda, glad you like the shape. Body shapes can be tough and that one was the only one I've ever felt good about on the very first drawing. And it doesn't feel as big as it looks. I play sitting down and the tight waist helps it sit lower which makes it less of a stretch on my shoulder.

The Concert is on it's way back from the finisher and should get stung up this week.

Trevor will probably oblige. I may even give it a try but I doubt that my setup or my playing is worthy of the task.

I got the Concert strung up last night and am pleased that the new body is what I hoped for. It's an excellent multi-purpose guitar in a small/medium body. Enough power and rumble for flat picking, articulation and range for fingerstyle.

More pictures of both next week after final setup.
