Default Lighter strings and tuning up to F or F#

I personally wouldn't go to a higher tuning (even with lighter strings) without also going to a shorter scale, as on a terz/quart guitar - potential for long-term damage isn't worth it...

Sorry I didn't pick up a Tacoma Papoose while they were in production - quart (A-A) tuning, 19" scale, no problem; might do an Avante Gryphon somewhere down the line, funds permitting...

I'm glad I got corrected here. This configuration is perfect for one of my numbers - a coincidentally Beatlesque song in the key of F.
That McCartney dude knew a thing or two.

And like "Yesterday," another song that penetrates the soul.
