Default How that for a black guitar?

The Black Ebony parlor is back from the finisher. I have a number of details such as the flourishes on the fretboard that I am working on but, I thought I could give a preview of just how black black ebony can be:

This is the natural wood under finish. There is no colors or dye. I'll have more pictures up as I wrap this up and put it up for sale.

Thanks for viewing
Mark

Thanks Ross748, TomB'sox, and David!

I'll have a lot more picture up on this one shortly. Today I finished cutting out all of the inlays. I'm hoping to get the chance tomorrow to actually inlay them into the fretboard.
In the meantime, here are a couple pictures of the unfinished headstock:

I'm planning on doing the truss rod cover with the same Koa I used in the rosette. It will be getting black Schertler tuners with Black Ebony buttons.

Thanks!
Mark

Boy you need good eyes and a steady hand for something that delicate. They look great. Perfect understated look to compliment the bling on the rest of the guitar. Another great design choice Mr. Hatcher.

Thanks TomB'sox and ross748,

I tried for quite awhile to find someone who could cut those inlays out for me including places that had cnc setups. The inlays are very delicate but, I've got the hang of it. I have several other inlay jobs coming up and feel pretty confident that I'll be keeping this work in house.

Thanks Again!
Mark

Although I wear glasses, my eye doctor told me I have very good acuity. I guess that means I may need correction for my eye lenses but the retina works well. In any case, with glasses, I can read the bottom line on most eye charts so I get away without the magnifying glasses (for now) .

Thanks JJI and ukejon! I have a number of inlay jobs on guitars coming up and really enjoy the artistic expression they allow for. Now that I feel I'm getting my chops up I'm going to really try to challenge myself. That's where the fun lies!

This guitar isn't sold!! I think it's the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen, can I ask what the price is?
