Fact is, most anyone under 25 years old does not wear a coat at all if they can get away with it. I saw a lot of people wearing shorts though.
I’m serious.
I saw people wearing coats in southern states all the time when the temps get below 60 when I traveled down there for work.
AFTER the summer when everyone is used to being warm for 3 months.

Temperature that night was 50:

In my roughly 55 years of fandom “my teams” (Baltimore as a little kid, Seattle in the ‘80s, Philly for about the last 30 years) have won exactly four championships - the Colts in ‘70-71, the Bullets in 1978, the Phillies in ‘08, and the Iggles two years ago. If I’d been an Orioles fan as a kid, I’d have had some fun, but didn’t learn to love baseball until much later. So NOT winning something huge in Boston doesn’t strike me as a particularly heinous atrocity...

No, it's not bad. I'm watching the third place in the East, Celtics, and the first place in the East, Bruins, now.

It's tough rooting for New England teams.

Wow, the team that had most of the stats in this game not only lost but was never really in the game. Those three Jackson turnovers were huge. Henry was once again a beast for the Titans.

Makes you wonder about players getting 2 weeks off (not playing game 16 and no one playing last week). Glad that the Ravens are out.

You should join us on the NHL thread, Rob. Bruins are having a great year again. Hopefully Chara's jaw heals.

Back to football - looking for an upset in the Chiefs' game today.

Well Fog, i left Detroit in '83 and landed in the Oakland Bay area just in time to see the Lions miss a field goal(from a superb kicker) that would have sent them to the big game against the Bengals-and they've never come close since then. The Lions and Browns are on a par that is below the NFL standard...maybe the College All-Star game should be re-instituted against the NFL bottom dwellers?

Over the past however many years since the bye week started, it's historically worked out really well in general, though. So you can't blame a coach for taking that approach - it's worked far more often than it hasn't. I think the Ravens just weren't able to deal with the physical onslaught of the Titans. As, the Patriots weren't last week. I mean, stats aside, they dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. When the Patriots and Ravens need a couple of though yards in key situations, they didn't get 'em. Didn't even really come close to getting them except, by definition, they were already close...

It hasn't worked out that well. Teams were like 8-5 or something like that when they rested a majority of starters in week 17. They flashed that stat during yesterday's game.

A lot of those stats were against a prevent D for most of the second half. Titans went really soft in the second half.

I have to be honest. When football ends, I follow the Celts religiously and I follow the B's, but not as much. Towards the end of the season, I pay more attention to the B's.

Yeah, I think the Texans can beat the Chiefs today. Seems like most are giving them a 10% chance or so. I'd say it's like a 40% chance.

Yea, Jackson's stats went up in the 2nd half but there was never a point where it looked like the Ravens would win.

Let’s go CHIEFS! Hoping they can pull it off. Ya never know...as stated, “on any given Sunday”. I wouldn’t of expected Tennessee to dominate the Ravens but that’s what makes playoff season all the more fun. Anything is possible. Just not for NE

It’s all a part of the plan. We have to let em feel like they have a chance! Then again, maybe it’s because it’s below 60 and everybody is wearing coats.

21-0 is too good of a plan.

What a start by the Texans! Wow, that was fast... 21-0. In the meantime, the KC receivers can't catch a cold.
