Any other models that you would recommend over it?
Edward,
I see by your email address that you may be near Salt Lake City, Utah, yes?

If so you should try calling Intermountain Guitar & Banjo. They happen to have a new Martin that may fit your needs:

http://www.guitarandbanjo.com/invent...m-shop-14-fret

It has a 1.75" nut, and slightly fancier appointments than an OM-21, and the price is shown, and who knows if they're negotiable....

Thanks for all of your help everyone! This looks like the next guitar for me. Time to start saving those pennies. I am located in Salt Lake City if anyone knows any shops in the area likely to have an OM-21.

That custom shop OM-21 posted above is lovely, and probably worth the 200 dollar premium. This was not a guitar previously on my radar, and unfortunately I now want one.

What would the differences be between it and the OM-21?

The guitar at that link is not an OM-21. It’s a custom shop 00-21. Same woods and appointments but a smaller body and likely a shorter scale length.

Purchased a pre owned OM 21 Ambertop a month or so ago. It is really a wonderful guitar. Lovely in its own way. Looks great next to my OM 42k!
