More fuel for.... GAS
I'm learning a ragtime tune and just got a great ragtime book recommendation from Tbeltrans.
So I'm thinking, gee these will sound great on my J-45 or Alvarez. Hmmm, even better on a Martin Whiskey Sunset or Waterloo. Sigh. It never ends, lol.

Those rags and country blues got me into the guitars I have. They're also good for some cowboy songs.

It has been some time since GAS hit me but it's in full swing and the wife is in complete understanding (awesome!). I can definitely feel your position as it all started when I decided I wanted to play blues, focused more on the fingerstyle aspect. I realized I desired wider string spacing and the 12 fret slotted headstock parlors fit the bill.
Let's just say an Alvarez MPA70 and Blueridge BR-371 will be at my house tomorrow for a final decision lol. |

Got any songs to recommend for a competent finger picker to start into ragtime?

The 12 fret 00-17 is a fine blues box. But it's an amazingly good strummer.
