Default Fingerstyle Blues lessons

Hi all,

I've had a couple years of surgeries and recoveries where my guitar playing has suffered lack of energy. Feeling a lot better now and want to dedicate 2018 to stepping up my game. So I'm looking for links to finger style blues stuff lessons on line that I can work on.

Do appreciate it and Happy New Years to all.

I've purchased video lessons (tab included) from the following websites:

Truefire
Toby Walker
Homespun
Stefan Grossman

Truefire is the easiest to deal with. You're lessons are stored on their website and you just access them. You get tab and GuitarPro files that you can download.

Toby Walker's video lessons are downloaded from his site, depending on the size of the lesson, there are multiple files that you download manually.

Both Homespun and Stefan Grossman use a software platform that contains icons for your "instant" download video lessons. It's almost like a Windows Desktop sort of look.

Toby Walker also has material available on Homespun as well. You might want to start with his stuff from Homespun. He is a member here as well and very approachable and helpful.

There are many others, but the above are what I'm familiar with.

There's a lot of stuff on Youtube. I have used lessons from Mary Flower which are excellent; also Stefan Grossman, Ari Eisenger and Tom Feldman. Woody Mann's subscription site is really comprehensive and he's another excellent teacher.

Hope that helps
Mark

I've been using Toby Walker's lessons for about six months and I'm thrilled with the progress I've made. It's a lot of work but I work at it every day.

Mark Hanson does good beginner lessons on Homespun, and there is also Rory Block at intermediate/advanced.

Yuotube is a great resource, but there is so much to sift through. The trouble is honing in on the level and teacher that works for you. I found Jamplay pretty good, as I could filter down easily until I found some lessons that worked for me - Mary Flower's (mentioned previously) being some of the lessons I did.

another vote for toby walker. I'm very happy with the progress I've been making with 'learning how to finger pick'.

I like Tom Feldmann and Toby Walker. I also like John Miller (Stephan Grossman's guitarvideos.com), in particular, his lessons on Mississippi John Hurt.
