Default Love for the Rainsong CO-WS1005

I've been playing my Rainsong CO-WS1005NSM a lot over the last month and have really come to love the bigger body and bigger sound. As I normally play an APLE model I was pretty used to the OM body style and real happy with it... but the WS1005 just gives you that extra power in all the note ranges and is a really good instrument for solo fingerstyle playing or flatpick. I'm kind of partial to the 12-fret Rainsong's pretty sound and this guitar probably projects that sound the most of any of their models. Dynamic, bright and clear. Offset soundhole is closer to your ear, looks unique and makes this guitar immediately noticeable... Marine burst finish is gorgeous.

A truly beautiful guitar! If I remember correctly, you have the same burst on your RS nylon string parlor. You brought the guitar to the forum and I ended up having to have one, still have it. Rainsong is making some magnificent guitars.

Really cool looking. Don't see many of them... I always play them at NAMM but with all the back ground noise it be a wee bit hard to appreciate them.

Thanks! I don't have a pic of the headstock or the back but the headstock is "bursted" like the top and the back is just solid metallic blue (no burst). I think this guitar would look cool with a little black pickup set just below the bridge.

I still have the nylon parlor in the same finish. Lots of miles on that one.

I got to play this model when shopping for what turned out to be my WS-1000. It is really nice to choose between the OM and WS models but the OM is more comfortable.
My Shorty has the burst because the “boss” liked it better than the CF weave, but it sure does look good.
Thanks for sharing.

The 12-fret necks seem to bring out RainSong's best tone across the board to my ears.

Nice looking guitar. I originally got my Rainsong out of necessity. It did not take long to appreciate the guitar for what it is. A nice guitar, that is easy to play and has a really cool and unique sound. Camping season is upon us

Based on the design it looks like Rainsong is moving in on the Emerald market!

Mr. K;

Having a hard time seeing any guitar--where have you hidden it?
