Thank you, I felt it needed an embellishment no matter how small.

Yes it is deep 4 3/4" at the tail block and 4 7/16" at the neck joint. The rest of the body is similar to an Olson sj... I love that guitar shape. I'll make sure the next one I do isn't so thick.

Very nice work! Looking forward to more pictures. Did you test string the guitar to assist in measuring for the bridge and pin holes? I've never seen that step. Is it common?

Agreed! It looks very cool. Any chance you might post a sound clip or video? I would love to hear it. I am very curious with the x fan bracing and all.

Did you do any edge thinning of the top?

Congrats on building a very beautiful guitar!

I did that to get string spacing, intonation and pin holes... it's the way that I thought would give me the best intonation. I don't have any jigs that are made just for that being it's my first acoustic guitar.

I'll see what I can do for a vid or sound clip.... As far as the edge thinning I may have by accident while sanding the binding down... but I do know that some luthiers do that.

I love this. Even if it is new, I really love it.
