Default Blind Arthur's Breakdown

Just discovered the forum -- how did I not know about this all this time? I see some familiar names here, so now I'm throwing in my lot, having posted some YouTube videos over the past few months.

This is (mostly) Woody Mann's arrangement of Blind Arthur's Breakdown by Blind Blake, which I (mostly) learned from Woody. Slowed down from the way he plays it, a couple of faux pas.

The guitar is a 2015 Martin HM-28, which I was told by Matt Umanov's, who ordered it from Martin, is an M-series body with the guts of an HD-28. Guatemalan rosewood back and sides, high-altitude Swiss spruce top. Amberburst finish with herringbone binding.

Hey Dubi! Awesome work on the song and it's nice to have you aboard the AGF.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dubi at Fur Peace Ranch this March. We were both in Woody Mann's class. Dubi's a great guitarist (as you can plainly see) and an all around great guy.

That's the old Piedmont rag sound. Nice work there Dubi and welcome aboard!

Great stuff Dubi, you'll fit right in here. Woody is a favorite of quite a few of us.

Thanks for all the kind words, folks! Nice welcome. Doug, yer making me blush. Barry, your cover of Woody's Ragtime Strut was one of the first things I listened to when I discovered this forum -- nice job. Toby, I couldn't do Blake's "band in the hand" the justice it deserves in a one-take video taping, but I get better at it the more I practice. Still working on Generosity Rag -- taking your advice and rehearsing it as much as possible before attempting to record it. Almost there...

I'm more than confident that you'll just keep on improving and sounding great. It's aways tough to do a complicated piece when the recording light comes on, but you did just fine!
