Thanks. I had a lengthy conversation with Kevin Ryan this week. What a great guy to talk to. Honest and helpful as can be without regard to the impact a decision might impact his wallet. You have to love people who believe the money will follow when you do the right thing instead of chasing the money.

Kevin, nice guitar. So, I guess it's going to be a 12-string Cathedral. You're going to love it ... but you would have loved it as a Nightingale, too.

Mary, yes I finally settled on the Cathedral for this guitar. I don't know how many times I flip-flopped that decision...

I can't wait to finally be a member of the Ryan club!

Congrats on the build! You don't see many high-end 12 strings especially with your woods- I'm looking forward to all the pics!

Kevin, I think a couple years ago, I told you to get a Cathedral ... of course, that was right after I got mine and was playing it 3-5 hours a day. I was kind of surprised when you decided on a Nightingale ... but I know it's a nice guitar, too.

BTW, your Koa looks better in person.

Kevin Ryan sounds almost excited as I am to do this guitar build. He's made 12 string guitars before, of course, but this one stands out for him too. It'll have all the latest Ryan developments as well.

Yup, I should've just stopped all that second guessing and stuck to the initial design, which is what I finally ended up going with anyway. That's what happens (to me at least), when I have too much time from order to build. I'm glad I stayed with the initial design. Your suggestions did help my decision as well Mary.

Kevin Ryan was pretty excited about building my 12-string, too, Kevin ... Redwood isn't used on a 12-string very often ... and you know how it turned out.

I'm glad you're sure about your guitar now ... since it would be kind of hard to change now.

Talking Excited???

Forgive me while I sit over here and turn just a bit green (it's an envy thing). I've only played one Ryan but I have to confess that it ranks among the best. Hope you guys have many years of musical joy with your fine instruments.

I'm expecting delivery on a McKnight OM within a week or so. Oh yeah.... I'm excited too.

Happy pickin'!
Bill

That's gorgeous! I really like the rosette and of course seeing all of the inner workings from a Ryan is spectacular. What's that "acoustic parallel plate"?
