Default What if Slim Whitman sang "Heart of Glass" ?

The guitar playing could use a little polish, but the singing is great.
I was skeptical at first, but it turned out to be rather entertaining.

I always hoped Slim would cover "Street Fighting Man", but alas.

You know, I was going to try to be funny by saying, “My, what a peculiar video,” but I’m just going to say it: That was great!!! I thought it was going to be a joke from start to finish, and then I realized it was heading straight into my favorite territory, which is good music with a sense of humor. I spent a few minutes wondering why his voice sounded familiar. I looked online for Slim Whitman, and that wasn’t it. I’d heard Whitman in the film "Mars Attacks!", but I knew it was something else, and then it came to me: Harry Dean Stanton in "Cool Hand Luke." So, who is this Nick Shoulders? There’s very little information online. Are there many more who sing like him? I listened to a couple of tracks from his album “Okay Crawdad,” and they sound like an ideal house band for an evening drinking beer in good company at a dingy bar. Thanks for posting that, deltoid!

He has an excellent video here, I assume it's an original from him.
Much more of a Slim Whitman sound on this one, I think. He is an excellent whistler as well.

He does a full set here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnjsC9xBaEs

I watched that one yesterday, too. I swear, I thought the dog was going to join in.

The most positive thing I can say is that he's certainly not hindered by self awareness....

I think Nick Shoulders is truly entertaining. Like Sierra Ferrell and a few others, he is an original in a sea of copycats.
