Bridge Touch Up?
I have a guitar that has a slight notch or indentation that routs the high e string close to where it naturally wants to ride. I can hear the negative impact this is having on my high e string sound when it rides there. It's like it has sharp edges. I am going to slightly sand the bridge or more like buff it with 400 sand paper. Please explain to me the error in my thinking. Or how I should go about it.

Remove the notch, smooth the saddle and round it so there is no flat spot on top. That can cause a buzz (sitar sound).
