Default Zoom H4n mp3

Pretty cool...verdict's still out. I just got it.
These are the internal onboard mics that come with it. Just fired it up & went with it. I make no claims this is dry...imported a stereo wave into Pro Tools and added some verb & delay just to try it. Other than figuring out how to get to USB transfer mode I didn't read the manual(yet ) so it's pretty intuitive I think.

Thanks for sharing. The Zooms do a fine job and I would definitely be interested in one if I did not already have a good recording set up. Even the on board mikes sound good.

Thanks. Yeah that's kind of how I feel about it. I don't really need it for a mini remote recording but it certainly works for that & I suppose it's convenient for rehearsal & things.

Default Zoom recording Mp3

Hey there... nice playin! Sounds pretty dern good, but you forgot to mention what fine guitar you're playing. What ever it is... it works. Oh, I was wondering, when you record do you use headphones? I've wondered which way is better... but I think I play better or even less encumbered if I'm not monitoring myself. What da ya think? Nice pickin' once again, and thanks for sharing. The next thing I have to do is figure out how you downloaded it for us here (or hear) at the Forum. In harmony, and cheers as ever, 1folksinger.

Hi, thanks! The guitar is a Blueridge Parlour(BR-361). I did have headphones on for this but I could barely hear them. It was just to see if they work for monitoring with this device. You could be on to something with your theory though. I kind of like having phones with verb and all that...fun to play to but there is definitely something to just letting it fly without. That's one of the reasons I bought the Zoom.

Hi mondo...
Only one problem with the sample - too short.

More please...

Really nice job mondoslug. Guitar sounds very natural and well played. Thanks for posting and yes, more would be good!

If you have the right "slot", your files willcopy to PC a lot quicker if you just take out the SD card from the Zoom and put it into your computer/card reader.

The new H4n is USB 2 high speed. It transfers files pretty darned fast.

The H2 is USB 2 _but not high speed_ and it transfers files pretty darned slowly!

Sounds good to me. Nice playing. A few constructive comments, maybe? I thought it was a bit bright and the balance seemed to favor the left ear.

Bring it, constructive's good. Yeah it's not my favorite recording for sure....just kind of winged it. One mic was definitely way down....seemed further down than it should have been considering where it was. Mic position is everything but it still seemed really low level. To be continued!

Thanks.
