Thanks nashmore!
I'm glad to get such a good response on this guitar. It's a new model and it has some new elements like the flourish inlays, headstock, and rosette. I'm hoping to do a lot more inlays on future builds. I have a direction I want to go that will make it mine. Thanks Again, Mark

Oh I suppose that is the point isn't it. Sometimes your guitars are so beautiful I forget that you can play them also. This one I think I would frame and just hang on a wall as artwork and forget the strings!!!!! Great job sir.

Hey Mark, those fretboard inlays are really impressive.
Most folks don't realize just how fragile this material is in those wee sizes. That is remarkable! And attractive! Steve |

I appreciate your comments Steve. I tried all over to get someone to cut these for me and no one would so I knew I was taking on a challenge. It means a lot to get a compliment from another luthier because they just don't look like they would be that hard! Mark

Finished Pictures
I have my Pina Parlor all strung up today. Here are some finished pictures. I tried to get some different shots from my usual finished guitar pictures as this guitar strikes me a much different from other guitars I've made. Tell me what you think of my attempt at understated bling!
I hope to get some sound clips up this weekend Thanks! Mark

Stunner,
I REALLY like this. The depth in color is incredible, a very rich guitar.

Really great photography Mark.
The colors of the rosette in some of your shots made me think of Christmas. Awesome guitar!

Whoa... happy Friday.
It seems as though one could dive into that back, it's both monolithic and inviting. In terms of understated bling, I feel it shines in the right places and amounts. Awesome work.

Mark,
It is an outstandingly beautiful guitar on so many levels including the fret board inlay, your color choices, the headstock design etc. As far as understated bling, I kind of think the way the abalone jumps off the dark sides and back, the rosette, etc. I can't say understated, I think this is real bling. That does not mean it is too much on this guitar because it really really works, but I can't go with understated, I just have to call it bling. I hope that is OK with you. Tom |

Where do I start? That is such a magnificent piece. Probably the nicest body shape I've seen in a decade. Good grief!
