Default 1947 Gibson J-45 SOLD

Up for sale is a killer 1947 Gibson J-45. Check out the video demo here:

https://youtu.be/NL1gmjxefpM

Original sunburst finish, plenty of saddle, easy playability, and the perfect, classic J-45 tone! The neckset and action are excellent.

As you can see in the photos, it has a fair amount of playwear. There are several repaired cracks (the most significant of which runs along the center back seam) and reglued/replaced braces. Some wood is missing from the soundhole area. The bridge has been reglued, and the nut, saddle, and pickguard have been replaced. The tuners were replaced with Kluson replicas. No serial number, which is not uncommon for Gibsons from this era.

Asking $SOLD for this great guitar. Comes with non-original hardshell case. Not interested in trades.

The rectangular bridge would suggest a guitar slightly older, perhaps 1947.

I like it!

Thanks! You're the second person who has mentioned to me that it may be a '47. I purchased it as a '49, but since it has no serial number, you could be right. I will update the year on the listing.

Amazing! Really wish trades were an option. Good luck with the sale.
