Default Maxime Baron Guitar - OM Cedar/Walnut

Hello

I am excited to start my first thread on the acoustic guitar forum. This OM is special to me because I wanted to try this wood combination and a multi scale for a long time! I will do my best to keep this thread as detailed as possible.

Baron OM shape
26'' to 25.4'' scales
Peruvian walnut
Sinker cedar
Ebony fragmented rosette
Ebony fingerboard and bridge
Cutaway
Armrest

I'm looking forward to read your comments!

Beautiful work from top to bottom--very classy truss rod cover!

Thank you very much. I'm glad you like the truss rod cover. I like the fact that its on the same level then the headstock.

Beautiful instrument, Maxime! I love the clean, modern lines- the 21st-century OM has arrived! It's nice to see this very popular size class of our favorite instrument getting such a comprehensive update.
And your very elegant pairing of the woods is another big plus.
Peruvian Walnut is good stuff! I used a set of it, with a Cedar top, on a nylon string crossover guitar last year, and it sounded splendid. The owner loves it for the sparkling clarity and warm tone color. I would imagine it sounds even more so with a steel-string guitar. And the color and figure of these woods play very well together. Your appointments are elegant, clean, and very balanced.
And your craftsmanship looks impeccable too.

You say this is your first thread here on the AGF... And your label indicates this is your # 11 guitar. WOW! I hope there will be more to follow. I'm already a big fan of your work. Very inspiring, and so easy on the eyes! Keep up the great work, and show us what you do next!
Best of good fortune with all your projects!
-Steve
