I am with you on that one. I think that's why I am continually trying to find the fullest sounding pickup to begin with. I know if I start with a strong/full tone, I can then use something like the Tonedexter or Aura to enhance the natural characteristics.

I know, for that reason I would rather have a simple pickup in the guitar if I’m going to process it with IR’s anyway (unless the pickup is worth having because it sounds amazing by itself).
