Very nice. Very different interpretation to the way I've played it.

Takes me back forty plus years when I first started playing his music. Slower tempo on this than I am used to but nicely played. Thanks for sharing.

Very nicely done, Daria. Your playing is always so smooth, sensitive, and controlled........which is exactly what this little gem of a piece deserves!
I like this companion piece to 'Lagrima'. The two are kind of yin and yang......both utilize the AABBA format with Adelita having the A section in Em and the B section in E major, and Lagrima having the reverse, the A section is in E major and the B section is in Em. |

It is always such a pleasure listening to anything you play Daria.
Regarding tempo: There may indeed be "correct" tempos to play any piece, but I think that should be flexible and one should play in the tempo they feel and like and that speaks to them. I've always felt that strict adherence to something leaves little room for personal interpretation and without personal interpretation I'd get very bored. I'd feel too mechanical. JMO There is an old story about Segovia playing something (I don't remember what it was) in concert. Afterwards, backstage a friend asked him "why did you play that very difficult piece with such an atypical, fast tempo?" Segovia put his nose up and said (with some degree of arrogance), "because I can!"

Very nicely done and great production on the video. I'm just starting out and have drifted over to Spanish classical and like Tarrega as well. I wish my left hand fingers were as obedient as yours.
