Default 2002 Blueridge BR-160

Considering buying a used 2002 BR-160. Does anyone know what features they had? Any different from current year? How can I identify other than the serial number? Thx!

Was told by a guy in a local shop that they carried Blueridge during the early to mid 2000's. Said they were the best years for build quality etc. Mine is a 2006 and I love it. Just make sure the numbers on the sticker and on the block match. At least the first few to get you to the production year.

Sorry for my ignorance but what do you mean by the block? I have also heard good things about this build era.

See Maury's Music. You can likely get a better price from them as well.

the block/square of wood where the guitar neck has met the body. Inside the body of the guitar. The sticker will have printed numbers on paper (sticker of course). The block will have them stamped. They are not exactly equal on mine, but this is the last 3-4 digits. Don't know why they would be different, but the years match.

As far as features, I do not know what changes? Just the QC issues that were mentioned to me in passing, and the headstock. Blueridge can either be a plain logo at the top or ALL bling and inlays which mine has. I'm not a fan of the headstock on my guitar, but when I play it I no longer care. I'm sure the guitar is not a fan of the way I foolishly paw at it.

I ended up buying it. It has a black pickguard but not sure if thats what it came with or if the dalmatian guard was changed by the original owner. The headstock has the bling.
