My “reimagined” Martin D-41...stellar in all the categories that count - tone, playability and bling.

My McPherson 5.0XP over in the corner...

No guitar sounds as full as that one to my ears. But I guess if I could pick any, I would take one with a bear claw spruce top.

It's possible if I could pick any, it would be an Olson Cutaway. But I have only played one or two of those in my life, so assuming those are best would be hasty.

I can't re-imagine having only one guitar, lol.

I think this thread is a violation of AGF rules..... I saw it somewhere..... Where's that fine print....

The crazy thing to me about only owning one guitar is that it comes with the assumption that either the guitar in question can successfully play all styles of music, or the player only likes musical styles that fit the guitar.

I play a LOT of DADGAD music, and the 000-28 fits the bill perfectly. However, I also like bluegrass and country, so I need a dread. And, on top of all that I like to play blues and sing so the J-45 is perfect.

Having only one guitar would be like only having one underwear. Both would stink.

If I could only have one acoustic guitar, I'd pick a, uh or, hmmm

I'll make that decision when I have to.

When you've picked one, can I have the other two please?

It's nice to see so many people who have their ultimate end game guitar already.

I would like something definitely Cedar topped, probably Grand Auditorium. The sound I like from most of my favorite players comes from Stonebridge. Lots of overtones and response generally with these guitars. I would LOVE a lefty Stonebridge GS-23-CR (Antoine Dufour's old model)
or a G23CRCLH. Maybe even a G23CR-C.

Or anything from Lowden. ha.

Yeah, typing this out does absolutely nothing and I bet most readers will skim over it but it felt good anyway.
