Question Eastman Custom Builds?

Given that Eastman does a fair amount of their manufacturing process by hand, do they ever build custom models? Are dealers able to put in special orders for a spec outside of their standard line?

They build very quality instruments, so I'm curious to know if they'd ever throw on some premium or unique woods for a dealer.

Ask Eric Schoenberg. If you order in quantity, you can probably have your own brand made...

I know you can order any their models even the discontinued ones from the dealer according to Eastman's website, but for further options, I doubt.

Eastman has built us some custom runs in the past, like our E5, and E15-SS models, but currently they are not excepting custom orders.

Hi su…

You'd want to know what 'custom' means. For manufactured guitars, it often means the level of bling, not customization which results in sonic changes (for the better).

Things which make a difference to players like neck profile, nut width, shaved/scalloped or shifted bracing, side ports, and back/side or top wood variances are often not offered by manufacturers.

I have a custom AC 512, all-mahogany. When I was looking to buy it, I actually wanted a larger all-mahogany and asked about doing that as a custom. As Ted said, they was told they won't. Out of curiosity, what are you looking for?
