I've done several of these type repairs. They are an easy repair, especially if you don't need it to look perfect. It's a strong/permanent repair. If you get it dirt cheep and have it repaired, be sure it's something you want to keep and love playing since you'll likely take a loss trying to resell it. I'ts not likely to be one of Ovation's high end guitars since it's made in China. Personally, I wouldn't bother if it's one of their cheaper models. Too easy to find them for cheap anyway.

I'd pass, unless the "seller" is putting lots of cash into the case for her/his free guitar, and fully paying for shipping, and you don't expect too much.
