Loriente "Marieta" Cedar top demo
Hi all,
I recently recorded this video on a "new to me" Loriente Marieta cedar top with Indian rosewood back and sides. Enjoy "Sons De Carrilhoes" by Joao Pernambuco. ~David https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fibxtlQQED8 Last edited by DTutmark; 12-07-2019 at 03:17 AM. |

Love that piece...
I've owned a couple Marietas - they didn't sound like that when I played them

Not sure about the OP, but all of the Loriente's I owned (3 Claritas and a couple Marietas) were all built before Cordoba was involved. There was lots of speculation as to which Spanish shop they came out of at the time.
Maybe his was from this era as well?

Hello, this particular Marieta is one that has a truss rod which typically means it was made after Cordoba took over. I found this guitar on Reverb.com, it had not been well taken care of but I had luthier friend clean it up and so far I am very happy with my "bargain" guitar!
Cheers, ~David |
