Default My Martin Sc-13e has arrived

at Sweetwater. I will be picking it up on Saturday. Apparently someone backed out of the waiting list.

I feel like a kid at Christmas!

The Sc-13 looks fabulous to me.

Looks like Willcutt has many in stock?

It did appear that some other sources had them in stock too, but I'd rather go with Sweetwater as they are only about 40 minutes from the house and the service is outstanding.

Nice location, and that's one cool guitar! Martin really surprised with this one. Can't wait to play it some day. Enjoy!

Best,

Mac

Congrats. I love mine. It has really expanded my horizons. I love playing it in DADGAD as much as standard, which surprised me. I hope yours is in your hands soon.

Congrats! Looking forward to your review. It's certainly an innovative departure from Martin's usual models. Enjoy it!

Got to play a few at a local Guitar Center and Chicago Music Exchange.

They are big sounding for how thin they are. Also, very bright (which is odd to me for a Martin lol)

I'm excited to see how these do in real wood, like a 28 series.

Got 'er home! Yes a bright guitar. Took a few minutes to get used to as it was different than my Ovation applause. My applause is more subdued and mello. OTOH the strings are new so...

I think I may drop the action a little.

amazing guitars, picked one up for a young lady for graduation a few months ago and it sounded very Martin, deep resonant tone, stock xtra light strings, couldnt keep my hands off it, been wanting one real bad.

hers came in right at 4 lbs if i remember, felt light and alive. loved the neck profile and accessability.

show some pictures, especially the back

I was going to recommend PBs to tone down the brightness but I checked the specs and it's stock with PBs, Martin Lifespan. When it's time for a string change try some John Pearse PBs.

Can you look at the strings to see if they're still stock (based on the color)?

... oh, and Congrats on the Martin! Great that you have Sweetwater so close.
