Congratulations! That's a nice instrument. But even better are the words you're using about it. There's nothing better than that sounds in your head appearing in your hands. It really inspires you to get playing. I hope it gives you many, many years of pleasure.

Messing around in DADGAD and this guitar sounds wonderful. In my four years of playing it has me composing my first instrumental piece. Only worked out the first twenty seconds but you have to start somewhere!

Sadly not it turns out… I was getting ready to go to bed thinking where I could go with this nice instrumental piece when this tune popped into my head. Turns out I was unwittingly ripping off TBMan’s piece he shared with me the other day. Back to the drawing board I guess.

Interesting, I had a custom d28 from 96 as well with 18 style slots like yours. I thought it was unique but it appears that was what Martin was doing at the time
