Default This is REALLY cool....

I stumbled across this clip this morning.....I've been a HUGE Mary Black fan for a long time and thought I should do a Youtube search to see what came up.....well, my favorite song of hers (actually a Sandy Denny song - By the Time it Gets Dark) performed with Emmylou in a very intimate, all acoustic setting.....it appears there are a few more tunes available there from the same "room".....great stuff...

That's a great clip... thanks! I have another saved in my favourites from the same session. It's Emmylou Harris, Iris Dement, and Mary Black. Wouldn't those have been wonderful sessions to sit in on?

I always liked Emmylou's voice. She sings with Leo Kottke on "Julies House" . The Leo Kottke Anthology Album. Her voice, and Allison Krauss's voice, always gives me chills!! Never heard of Mary Black, but her voice is great too.

Here is some older music you guys might like.. Ginger Johnson, recorded in 1970. What a voice, and good pickin too.

Some Early ( coffee house) recordings of Leo Kottke too, if you want to listen to them.. 1968
