Very interesting video!
You don't need anything quite that large, though. I used to drive about 15 miles outside of town to the new rest area on the interstate when they first put it through. It was all marble, fairly large, and made my acoustic guitar sound a lot like those early Waterlily recordings that Ry Cooder (and others) did. I don't remember the setting where those were recorded, but lush natural reverb was the featured ambiance.
