When they make me King, the back of every guitar will have a door big enough for your whole hand and discussions like this one will be moot.

I have a cheapo tool that’s designed for the same purpose. I forget the name, but these things are easily found on the internet. I bought it on a whim for about $20, but I haven’t used it yet. It’s obviously a cheaper product than the one in the OP, but for the amount of times I’ll use it, it should be fine.

I've recently pulled out Jack for a couple more guitars and an amp. In my review of the tool on my website, HERE, I quoted a favorite old author:
Quote:
I like good tools. I like to know that my tool isn’t the reason a job is tough. I agree with engineer John Muir, author of the book, How to Keep Your Volkswagen Alive: A Manual of Step by Step Procedures for the Compleat Idiot, when he said:
"This is the tough one, and will make or break you. You must do this work with love, or you fail. You don’t have to think, but you must love. This is one of the reasons I have nice tools. If I get hung up with maybe a busted knuckle or a busted stud, I feel my tools, like art objects or lovely feelies, until the rage subsides and sense and love return…"
But you know, whatever gets the job done without grief, busted knuckles, or busted wires, is good. Carry on.

I agree with that. ^^ It’s the same reason why we’d rather play a good guitar as opposed to a cheap guitar. But I’d add the personal caveat that if it’s something you’d hardly ever use it probably isn’t a good investment to pay for the best. I have hand tools that I got as a teenager more than 50 years ago when I got my first job at an electrical contractor. They were expensive then, but they are still working as well today as when they were new.

Bob, as a former wood worker, I always lived by the old adage: "You will remember the money you saved on a cheap tool every time you use it."
