Default Sad News. RIP Phil Emmanuel

Tommy Emmanuel's brother Phil has passed away today aged 65.

Tommy always relates some touching stories about his youth, his Dad and brother at his concerts. We can only emphasize and share his grief, hoping somehow it helps.

Sorry to hear. Man, that's young. Phil was a pretty good player in his own right and only eclipsed because of the enormous talent of brother Tommy. It is quite a loss for the guitar world. RIP

Sad news, indeed.

I had the honor and pleasure of hanging out for a few days with both Phil & Tommy, during a guitar festival in Soave, Italy many years ago.

Lots of laughs were had there and I treasure the memories. RIP Phil and my sincere condolences to Tommy & family.
