Default What guitar is this, Jack Haigh content

Can anyone ID this guitar, is this a concert or auditorium size ? I'm very impressed at how responsive the instrument sounds, first time ever I've thought about getting anything other than a dred size acoustic guitar. Oh and the players' not bad either.

It's a Fylde in either mahogany or Walnut (tough to tell from just a quick look) and cedar, I don't know their model range too well but I'd hazard a guess it's a Magician. They're handmade here in the UK.

You're hearing a combination of pickup and microphone sound judging from the video. Presumably with the reverb applied to the pickup and the mic left natural.

Guitars by Jason Kostal, Strings by Elixir, Gefell Mics and a nail buffer.

Good question! IIRC the magician is dreadnought width or wider across the lower bout so perhaps closer to an SJ.

As for comparable brands, if price is an issue you’d probably be able to get a second hand Fylde for a similar price as a new high end Taylor or Breedlove. They’re a small workshop so think similar price point to Lowden
