Hi Juniorfan, welcome to the Tom Petty thread, started by Ray several years ago now. He has enough songs to keep us all busy for a long time!

Default Thanks Bob and Ray

I've listened to TP since high school, but other than trying to play Breakdown when I first got a guitar, I don't think I've tried playing any of his tunes. He definitely has a lot and it will be fun trying to learn some of the easier ones.

Another quick and dirty rocker, this one from Wildflowers.

Great version of one of my favorites, Ray!

The timing on this one gives me trouble, I’m going to steal from you for help

Thanks Bob. This was on my list of “maybe someday” songs for a long time, mostly because of the timing. But then I listened to it a couple times and realized the vocal starts at the end of each little three chord riff - I’d been trying to sing earlier and, shockingly, it sounded awful. Once I got that, it came together pretty quickly. Such as it is, quick and dirty like I noted…

Great cover here Bob loved your approach. Such simple and true songwriting from TP and friends.
