Give your Taylor GS mini some shine
So I was using some Johnson’s paste wax on a shelf and was wondering if it contained Silicone. It does not thankfully. It turned out so nice on my shelf that I thought...hmmm, what if?
So I put a small test spot (light coat) on the back of my walnut GS Mini, let it dry for 10 minutes and hand buffed it with a soft cotton cloth. Wow - not bad. So I took the plunge and did all the back and sides only. I put 3 light coats and buffed by hand. I also did a few coats on the back of the neck to fill in some of the grain. Much smoother now. Incidentally I found on the last coat to buff it, then add a very very slight dampness to the cloth and buff. It made it really shine. Took about 2 hours. Super easy and I am very very pleased. It’s actually a bit glossy then the pics depict. Certainly not a Taylor gloss by any means, but a definite big change. I left the top alone and natural satin. Cost about $7!
