~ SOLD ~ King of Mahogany Martins, Vintage 1961 D-18, Brazilian Fingerboard & Bridge
~ This guitar is SOLD ~ Martin D-18 made in 1961, this is a Clean, Well-Preserved flat top. Mahogany Bodied Martins are warm and responsive as well as having a beautiful Brazilian Rosewood Fingerboard, Bridge and Headstock overlay This is a surprisingly lightweight guitar. Just out of the shop, this one is ready to be played and enjoyed. This was recently set up to play with a modern feel as it has had a professional Neck Reset and a Re-fret with Factory sized wire. This Vintage Martin acoustic plays very nicely now. The Grainy Brazilian Rosewood bridge is original and the Cut-through Bone saddle has been replaced. The condition is very nice, The TOP is flat and healthy, and there has not been any damage or modifications. This guitar remains in Very Nice Original condition. The guitar exhibits a minor and minimal amount of normal age and wear throughout as it’s 59 years old. The Mahogany body is Crack-Free. There was a tight hairline crack alongside the outside edge of the Original Tortoise Shell PG that has had some glue work, but was very minor. Comes in it’s Factory Original Hard Shell case with Green lining. The case is VERY NICE too. The locking latch does not close but otherwise it is sturdy and completely functional with no bad odors. If it helps anyone, I would consider a Deposit and Lay-Away, Terms to be discussed. I have FAR to many instruments and this guitar is simply not getting used and someone should get to enjoy it. . I always wanted to have a Martin OM-18 from my birth year. Oops, just gave up my age. But, the timing is not right financially. Fine guitar you have there.

Thanks for the kind words, and I do accept lay-away with relaxed terms if it should tempt you.

Very nicely kept guitar.
I recently had 15yo D18 GE. My first venture into D18 series and I loved it.

The frets installed were spec'd at .080 x .043.
The guitar feels and plays exceptionally well too. |
