For Sale: Wilborn Patros - Price reduced!

Hi! Up for sale is my Ben Wilborn Patros. Its has been my main guitar for 3 years, which is how old is. It is a Wonderful, very big, woody, loud instrument. I just love it. Have played many gigs with it, yet it looks brand new. I got many compliments on its tone, and people always ask me about it in public. Ben made it for Santa Barbara guitar fest in 2016. Disclaimer: I play in a combo with Ben called "Frog and Toad".

Macassar Ebony backs and sides, Torrified Sitka top, Cocobolo headstock, Diamond inlay and Arm bevel with Soundport.

It is a very LARGE guitar, and absolutely perfect for alternate tunings. The bass when dropped to DADGAD, DADF#AD, or a C tuning is astounding. It also sounds very open with the Torrified top. The arm bevel is nice and comfortable. You can play it for hours and hours, which I've done. A lot.

The 4 piece Ebony back developed a small seam separation that was repaired by Mr. Wilborn. I would never have noticed it, but Ben saw it, took the guitar from me and repaired it.

Its just an awesome guitar. Completely versatile.
Selling to fund a Brazillian/Adirondack version of this from Ben.

Ben builds such gorgeous guitars! I love my Wilborn Lion (his version of a 00 size). It's so versatile and is the guitar I pull out most often. Ben's instruments are so lightly and cleanly built and every detail has been thought through to maximize the experience of the player. I've played several other other of Ben's instruments, and it's always a similar experience as far as the playability. And the tone he gets out of the woods is wonderful too! It would be something to play this guitar with that large sound. Unfortunately, my right shoulder won't like that lower bout one bit, even with the bevel, so I'm passing... Just looking again and then I'll go play my smaller Wilborn and be happy!

This looks like the best deal on the forum- Ben's current starting build prices are significantly higher now. Good luck with the sale. I'm sure the Adirondack/Brazilian version will be something!

Hi Stan,
Yes it is the main guitar I used on both records. The engineer had to turn down the gain whilst recording..Lol.
