I use a 10.5 on this kind of set up. But I now know that a lot of time you are not as close to the ipad as you think you will be. If I were to buy today, I would go for the 12.9 Ipad pro.

I use an iPad Mini with Piascore and a Duo Airturn. Works great for me.

I use a 13" Ipad Pro and its almost large enough to use without glasses, When I practice with the "old guys" I use a 36" flatscreen so we can all be on the same page.

Normal iPad, but I'm bumping up to the 12" in the next year sometime. Two reasons, number one being my 70 yr old eyes, number two being I'm a photographer and quality pictures and chord charts both look better on a bigger screen. |

I use a an Ipad 2 so I guess it would be the normal size
I make the font fairly big and use auto scroll on the "OnSong" app. and I make the background black with white font for lyrics and red for chords (easier to see on a low light stage )

A big plus for iPad is that you can get OnSong Consol to pair to OnSong. I'm just learning to use this technology, but working on the computer beats the heck out of just using the iPad. Mac only for the Consol.

I don't perform, but I use a Surface Pro and a K&M holder on a mic stand. Works great with Mobile Sheets.

Get the biggest screen you can - i have friends with the 9.7 and the 10.5 ipads, are great for almost everything, but when you’re looking at a sheet of music (or a floor plan, or many other things), my 12.9 has them all beat -

iPad Mini here. Our whole band uses OnSong so it's very easy. The holder is just the first thing I saw on the wall at the music store that said "iPad Mini".

I've thought about a page turner, but I manage OK, and already use a stompbox and harmony pedal, so a page turner would really have me doing the pedal dance at times. |

I use my Android cell phone - a Samsung Galaxy Note 8, so it's a big cell phone but nothing like a tablet. I only use to see my set list, use the tuner and for a few chord cheat sheets on newer songs I don't have quite committed to memory. Lyrics are always from memory. I hate watching performers 'read' entire songs from notes whether they are on a tablet or paper.
