Default Live performance rig with 4 inputs??? HELP!

I am looking for suggestions for a combo amp for guitar and vocal (1) but it has to have four inputs, 1/4 inch plus XLR. I know I could use a mixer but I'm trying to avoid that. Line arrays are fine too if they have four inputs for mics and guitar, dual source. I know that I could use a foot pedal to combine my two dual sources on the guitar, but I would like to avoid that too. I am trying to shrink my set up but still use dual source guitars and vocal plus drums in a separate 1/4" input with eq and volume.
Got any ideas for me. HELP. With the research I have done already, there seems to be no amp or line array with onboard mixer with four inputs.

That's because those combo amps are really designed for vocals + guitar, and the assumption is that someone who needs more will just use a mixer. The only thing I can think of that might work for you is a Carvin S600.

I was just checking out that combo. Its basic but does have four inputs. I am trying to avoid the mixer though I have a ZED 10fx. Just more stuff. I would like very high quality tone as well and not sure if Carvin delivers that. Never have used Carvin gear. I am very picky about my guitar tone through an amp. Just confessing my shortcomings.

This will sure need more eq than Treble and Bass so that takes a mixer. I am trying to avoid a mixer if possible. I have thought about a Daedalus Speaker in a cabinet with a rack mount mixer (front controls) and an amp. That just sounds heavy. Daedalus is top of the line. Sure you know all about that Cuki.

Thanks very much for weighing in here on this. Just for reference, I play professionally full time from Sept to May on cruise ships. Then I am home and gig around here from May to Sept, small groups of people usually with an occasional festival thrown in. For all my gigs, I really like exceptional sound without paying a fortune for it or it being too heavy to move around. I am in my sixties now so the weight matters.

Thanks again. If you come up with any other ideas, I would love to hear them.

I agree with Cuki. Based on your situation, this is the simplest way to get 4 combo inputs an all in one PA unit. Plus no speaker pole is required.

Another option would be the Fishman SA330 with expander and sub woofer.

Is really about rig reduction/simplification without compromising sound quality, then? Can you tell us what your current rig is?

This amp has 4 channels, although the fourth channel has RCA inputs so you will need an adapter cable.

I believe he mentioned in another thread he uses a Shertler Unico. So, I presume he's looking to move from acoustic amp to full fledged PA system. The Bose L1M2 is an excellent, albeit expensive, option too.

If you want EQ capability but no extra mixer. The only thing I know would be
HK nano 608i

But I would consider also Bose L1S+Tonematch even if it does not fit perfectly. From the sonomag /internet reviews both brand have clearly different personality as far as sound is concerned (HK would be more bass heavy).

You must test them side by side to see what suits you best.

I currently use the Shertler Unico but it has only three inputs. I have to have four now. This is for my local gigging here at home whereas I am gigging on a cruise ship from Sept. to May (I know, suffer, suffer, suffer). On board I use two Shertler Unicos on poles and for what I do, that works great.
I am trying to find the highest quality, lightest weight, single amp/speaker/system with four inputs, at least two of them XLR. I already have the Shertler Unico for sale in that section of AGF. Thats how trusting I am that I will get a better idea than adding a mixer on top of my Unico......but maybe thats the way to go.

Cuki beat me to it! Before I decided to go inexpensive, and bought the Eon One, I was about to pull the trigger on the HK Nano 608i. It's more money, but it's an elegant solution. It does require an iPad for fine tune settings. But you can set and forget. You can still make level changes with the tactile mixer. It rates well in the pro sound tests. If this doesn't do it for you, the Bose L1/T1 might be your only remaining ($3,000) choice.

Cuki....
Have you personally heard this Nano system. Does it do justice to the acoustic guitar tone. Clarity? Presence? Balance? Seems the system without the iPad option is not well enough equipped for good eq. It only has treble and bass controls on the unit itself.

Well, I mean, the *easiest* thing to do would be to pick up a little Yamaha mixer with two XLR channels and submix two signals into one channel, but you said you didn't want to add a mixer. This preserves your current rig and sound quality and only adds something the size of a footpedal to your rig.

The little Yamahas are small. (I keep one mounted on a pedalboard (along with a ToneBone) for gigs where I'm just playing guitar and something else—roll in with my instrument(s), the pedalboard, a powered speaker, a mic and a stand.)

As I said, the Carvin is really the only thing comparable to what you have, I think. As others have suggested, it's possible that a powered speaker + digital mixer might be smaller or easier.

Good luck!
