For Sale Daedalus S-125

I purchased this beautiful speaker from Lou Hinkley at Daedalus http://daedalusmusic.com/s125.html after much searching and listening and auditioning of any rig I could get my hands on. I was excited to learn that he was in Ferndale WA, just a short drive across the border from Vancouver BC and spent the better part of the afternoon talking about music and trying out different cabinets. I went home that day with this cabinet and it's been a love affair ever since.

On Lou's advice, I picked up a Hafler P3000 amplifier before they became impossible to find and have gone through a couple of different pre's over the time I've used it. It's a great sounding speaker and I know many of you will know exactly what this baby sounds like. Alas, I don't play much these days and it's time to let this go to someone who will use and love it. As you can see from the pictures linked, it's in great shape. I packed it in a flight case for any traveling but picked up a nice slip cover with plywood insert from Lou for good measure. The only cosmetic issues I can see are a few dings on the flip-up tilter on the bottom of the cab and a faint water ring on top where an unthinking sound guy set a beer one night. I've photographed it but I don't even think it shows up very well.

The road case is gone but I have the slip cover and might consider selling the Hafler too. The Aphex 207 pre in the photos is available but would need some work on one of the channels. It's intermittent and since it only started failing on the last gig I used this, I haven't bothered to have it looked at yet.

I live in Vancouver BC but travel to Seattle most weekends lately so I could ship from inside the US if purchased there. I'll be heading there this weekend but after that I'm on holidays for a few weeks so I wouldn't be able to correspond again until after Feb 20. I probably should just wait to post then but I want to get this out there in case someone needs some time to stew over it. Feel free to email me directly if you'd like:

I think these go for 1025.00 plus tax right now for the speaker and cover. I figure 700.00 is fair considering the condition of the cab. I might be wiling to negotiate as long as I don't take a pounding! If you are interested in the Hafler or Aphex too, let me know.
