Default Sterling JP Guitars

I randomly picked up a JP60 model to play at GC the other day. I'm not even sure why I picked it up since the look isn't really my thing, but I ended up being blown away by the playability. Does anyone own one of these? I'd love to hear your experiences.

Sterling is to MusicMan as Squier is to Fender, correct?

The ones I’ve seen at GuitarCenter look terrific, though I’ve not played any.
Put up some pix so the gang can see what you’re talking about.

I like that! Stepping into the shred arena, eh? Good for you! Great price point, too.

I keep being drawn into this Jetson’s sensibility with the Mariposa design. I didn’t know that Sterling even sold this model. I thought it was a MusiicMan only offering.

I think Music Man guitars are lovely and I nearly bought a used sterling strat a while back. On paper an Axis is perfect... except ... I prefer a wider neck.

The Sterling or MM JP guitars have good specs but I insist on 22 frets.

So for my next electric it's likely to be Warmoth or G&L with Classic Wide C neck.

I think St. Vincent is even more Jetsons than Mariposa. Check out the control knobs!

I played a Sterling Albert Lee model in GC a couple years ago that was seriously nice. Very Jetsons-esque as well. I love the necks on the EBMM/Sterling stuff. The guitar I bought has some miles on it and will need some TLC to get it up to speed, but as long as the bones are solid it’ll be a great player. Till something else catches my fancy…

Yes the St Vincent is one seriously quirky, Jetson’s type guitar, with three sided knobs!
And I still have the guitar that made her famous, a ‘65 red and black Harmony Bobkat! Thats my St Vincent guitar. 😹😂😹
