I offered a bigger one for our 10th anniversary. She said, "I don't need a bigger diamond." She let me buy a baritone, provided I sell my other guitars. Shes a Corporate Controller at a small company. She doesn't like inventories.

You can tell her that having one of each SKU is variety....not excess inventory.

Inventories is what you intend to sell. Guitars are PP&E (Property, Plant and Equipment). A good term for it is also Fixed Assets.

I like the old "It's an Investment" line...and then I throw the "I wish our 401k had been in these guitars..then we would actually be able to retire one day" LOL

A Long Term Investment if doing a classified balance sheet.

Yeah, but seems to create short term liabilities for some regarding their compensational family purchases

Seems like my focus is always on "I wondering what is up with the Olson build"? I need to get to install web cams all over his shop so we can 24 hours see what is up LOL

cpabolting, you don't have to answer this if you don't want to, but I'm very interested to know what you do.

I am a CPA but have a pretty busy part time mail order/ebay business buying and selling guitars. I get to cherry pick the best of the best to keep.

I am slowly but surely getting worried whether anything happened to Keith on Christmas Eve given he hasn't posted in his build thread for 5 days now
