I love his live versions of River Take Me! I live right next to a river which floods all the time, and though my house has never been involved, we have been stranded many, many times. I know the feelings of this song so well...

Wonderful & Thanks For Sharing Darrell Scott With Us! This is my first exposure to his artistry but now I'll seek more of him to listen to!

For those looking for more Darrell Scott I strongly recommend one of his earlier albums, "Aloha From Nashville". Also his recordings with Tim O'Brien. The Aloha album shows him trying different styles before settling into the singer-songwriter style he's chosen, in my opinion. I think every song on that album is great (except one that I didn't care for).

He's an amazing writer, player and singer. I think he played several instruments on the Aloha recording. I've also never seen any performer do a better job accompanying himself on guitar as a solo performer. John Hiatt comes close.

I'm sure there's lots of good stuff from him on youtube also.

Great version of River .

Saw him live twice at the Tin Pan South Songwriting Festival in Nashville at the BlueBird and also at the Targhee Bluegrass Festival in Idaho

Also love this version of "The Open Door"
