Default Dylan Revisited

What’s your favorite Bob Dylan song to play and sing?

Mine is Hurricane.

“Here comes the story of the Hurricane,
The man the authorities came to blame.
For somethin’ that He never done,
Put in a prison cell, but one time he could-a
Been the Champion of the World.”

Simple to play, hard to sing (19 verses). Controversial theme. Classic Dylan.

I love Bob Dylan's music. However, IMHO he is overplayed by the standard-singer-songwriter crowd. The only Dylan tunes I include in a set are "Buckets of Rain", "You're a Big Girl Now" and "Things Have Changed."

This, although I pick it more Joan Baez style.

I do ''Song to Woody''. It's from his first album and it's considered to be his first original recorded song.

....although it's hard for me to sing Dylan without sliding in to an impersonation/parody.

Don’t Think Twice....but about a year ago I finally noticed To Make You Feel My Love, and was amazed by the lyrics and that Dylan wrote them.

I love playing "Don't Think Twice" when we are hanging around with others in somebody's living room. For years I thought that was Bruce Langhorne playing. The only song I have covered in a gig though is "Masters of War."
