I have it on good authority: Beelzebub looks good in black.

I was thinking of putting the nylon strings on one of my wood guitars... yes, I know it is easy to just put on another set of strings, but I really, really like my X7 just the way it is.

Yeah, this is almost like a humanitarian kinda thing. Yeah, that's the ticket. It's a calling... we're making the world a better place by showing guitar players how they can shed the shackles of humidifiers, de-humidifiers, humid-packs, and keeping guitars packed away in their cases. Methos and I would like all the children of the world to hold hands and sing in harmony while forward-thinking guitarists accompany them on X20s.

Or something like that.

Take no notice of those evil tempters David.

You absolutely DO NOT NEED A CUSTOM X20 !

The “plain” ones are lovely too and sound exactly the same as the “fancies”.

So, I am NOT like those other tempters , you stick with your quaint old wooden geetars buddy, plenty good tunes left in them.

Of course , if you do go down that route, ( entirely of your own choosing and with no shoving from any of us, ) ,,,

I should mention, (and I think the others here’ll back me on this,) it’s always nice to get a set,

there’s a wise old saying I just made up .... “carbon likes company”.

Ah well now Mr. K. of course the west of Ireland is a bit closer to America than it is to London and I fear a trip here might take Alistair away from his essential work.

So (mainly out of consideration for Evan) I decided to buy a second hand X20.

When I wanted a new saddle for it I asked Emerald if I could buy one, Sean explained that unfortunately they do NOT sell spare parts.

So he sent me two, free of charge.

Emerald, we are not even worthy of you.

Am I the only one who noticed it is only May?

While I have seen the "guitar porn" phrase tossed about, those images are truly guitar ART!

And, of course, my buddy Long Jon is correct in declaring that the Emerald non-woody models are lovely, too. I am a fan of my classic carbon fiber look X7 Opus. I think the point that many are making here: if you work hard, live a good life, and have great taste in guitars... you deserve an X20.

Thanks, all, for your participation on this bit of fun thread.

I was thinking the same thing, Captain (but I was obviously able to exercise more restraint).

And, we know what May means... new models to be announced by Emerald at their birthday party at the end of the month! I'm giddy with X10-ish anticipation.

Oh my Jim!
I fear you may have Carbon fiber Guitar owners version of the Star Trek followers fetish of the 60's TV show. (being a "Trekie")
Perhaps you have Carbonfiberguitarphlebitis.
Or perhaps, Carbonfibroguitarmyalgia.
or neurofibroaddictiveguitarcarbonus.

You exhibit many of the symptoms.
