I've had mine on for a couple of days. I do leave it behind the nut since I use it frequently. I'm impressed. Obviously it looks great, but functionally I'm impressed as well. The D'addarios I frequent do have a tendency to pull my guitar out of tune on a regular basis. So far I haven't experience that with the Thalia. I like the heavy, solid feel and the additional inserts included, although I'm using the stock one with no problems. I also don't have any issues with the amount of force needed to release/move the capo, it seems just right. I may need to pick up a second one for my other daily player.

Several other exceptional guitars, but these make me smile and keep me inspired!

I bought 2 of the b-stock Thalia’s during the sale. They are great looking, easy to use, and do a great job. No buzzing and you can place it halfway between the frets. Great design and good product.

I actually came very close to returning it. Then I discovered two things that improved my perception... I was placing it bass side down but switched to treble side up. I couldn't believe how much difference that made. I didn't read the instructions which all illustrate treble side up. And then I switched to the "high tension" insert. Again, more improvement. I've got some teflon pads ordered which I should have shortly and I'll see how they work out.

To describe the improvement, the sound warmed up significantly without losing any ring. Though the Shubb and the Thalia sounded very close on the previous recording in person they sounded worlds different, my preference being the Shubb. Not so much any more. The Thalia still needs an iron grip to open it, but also is easier to install... but still not one handed. I have to stabilize the neck with the other, while with the Shubb I had to hold it in place with one hand and close it with the other. Six of one, half dozen of another.

I had one of these but it would not work for my guitar. 71 d28s ..
Turns out my neck has a compound radius about 10 at the first fret to almost flat at twelve.
And wider than most necks. More like a classical guitar neck.
This capo would work ok up to about the 3rd fret
then not so well above it. Thalia sent me another
with a stronger spring but it still would not work.
So if your guitar has a compound radius or like
mine has a wider than normal neck. It may not work
for you. i ended up using a shubb made for a classical
guitar. It's longer than normal and almost flat
so it works everywhere on my guitar. Beautiful capos though.
Just didn't work for me.YMMV.

I use my Thalia on my Taylor 12 string and that's a pretty wide neck. Needs the 12-string insert for it to work.

These look good. I like the idea of the different pads for different fretboard radius.

That's a great looking capo! Have they sold out, and if you don't mind my asking, how much are they? I couldn't find them on the website.

Just got one today. Getting rid of all my G7ths. Thalia built a better mouse trap. Best capo I've owned, (Paige, Schubb, Planet Waves spring type, G7th). Perfect AUTOMATIC tension, no fiddling to get guitar to stay in tune (the radiused pads are GENIUS), easy to store on the guitar, and gorgeous.

Definitely will be buying more.

Anyone use their picks? I got a rosewood 1.4mm with the capo, and it sounds incredible... I wonder what the wear is like....
