Default Luna Mahogany 12-String

Luna Gypsy Dreadnought 12 String Acoustic Guitar Mahogany

https://youtu.be/egmujHz0uAw

Anyone have experience with this model? Sure it’s inexpensive and I know the warning about not buying cheap 12-strings so I’m curious if anyone has any experience with this particular model?

My performing days are over so I’m looking for a 12-string to play in the comfort of my living room.

If I wanted a inexpensive 12-string I would buy a used Seagul S12 off of Craigslist.

The Solid Top Lunas are not bad at all. I don't think this one is solid though.

Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking the top of this guitar isn’t solid.

Default Luna Mahogany 12-String

There are two important factors in purchasing a 12 string, playability and sound. If it’s not playable the sound is irrelevant. You want to know that down the road the playability will still be there so you have to be confident in the quality of the manufacturer. I’ve owned cheaper 12 strings and learned that lesson well.

In my area there are always pre-owned X series Martins and occasionally 100 series Taylor’s available. Either one is a good choice. My preference would be the Taylor as the neck is bolt on and adjustable, low action and the Taylor sound is perfect for a 12 string.

I’d really love an all Mahogany 12-String and that does look like a winner!

Why does it matter if the top is solid or not, if the sound is there.
An all laminated guitar will be durable and a great outdoors instrument.
If you like it, get it.

I have yet to find a decent all laminate 12 string. I agree with one of the posts that if you are on a budget get the Seagull.
