Default I think these are good Flamenco strings.

D'Addario Pro Arte Carbon EJ46FF Hard

Tried on:
Rainsong NP12A short scale with micarta saddle
Breedlove Passport N200/CMP full scale with corian saddle

These are very high tension strings, and I limited the Breedlove to my lower tuning, CDAdga, concerned that if I tried it with my higher tuning, CFCfac (well below standard tension), the guitar would 'fold in half'. I did try both tunings with the shorter scale Rainsong.

For both tunings the characteristics were the same: good presence, throaty/gutteral, maintain full notes when fretted over the body, even progression across the strings

On the Breedlove, which is a dryish guitar to begin with, I tried both tunings with the Savarez 500 CRJ Corum New Cristal Mixed, but with less satisfying impression: treble strings run out of steam over the body, otherwise very good flamenco character
