Nice!
The bottom left shot almost looks like a painting.

Hey Bruce,

First, never apologize for sharing your pictures. I’ve enjoyed them all. That new camera is pretty amazing. Pricey though.

I paid just under US$370.00 for it.

I thought it was much more. That’s great.
I have a Nikon D3400 that was about the same price.
It was actually a gift for my wife, but I use it much
more than she does.

I think I actually paid slightly more for my old Olympus SP565-UZ ten years ago.

The Olympus has a 26mm - 520mm zoom range and 10 megapixels.
The new Lumix has a 20mm - 1200mm zoom range and 18 megapixels... and 4K video!

Bruce, you don't have to be sorry for posting your pictures. I think pretty much everyone on the forum enjoys them immensely (I know I do). It's great to see what the land and fauna and flora of your country looks like, and your photography is excellent. In this batch here, I think my favorite one is the one of the pilings in the water. The water is so clear and looks cool and refreshing. I have to say it reminds me of scenes around here where I live on Cape Cod Massachusetts. Send more photos!

Jack

I have had 3 Panasonic Z Lumix, digital point and shoots over the last 10 years. They have all been nice.

I also remember the late 90's getting the Olympus for $440.

I am going to get one and give my Z camera to my kid.

I am not a huge Amazon buyer or supporter but this buyer review of how much detail is in a close up is tremendous:

https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-Cam...ews-filter-bar

Go down the page of 5 star reviews. Find 3 White house pictures. Check out the focus / clarity of two security personnel on top of the white house and from where it was shot.

That is some Zoom for $400!

Tippy5 if you do buy one then be aware the instruction book just covers basic start up and shoot.
There's an English guy named Graham Houghton that is currently posting a fantastic Youtube tutorial on this camera.
Here's a link to part 1 if you're interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9cLIv6V5iE

That's quite a zoom range! I'm impressed with the camera, but even more impressed with what you do with it. You have a keen eye for composition and the "rule of thirds," for leading lines and texture, things that an average snap shooter never thinks about, but go a long way toward making your images so captivating. Of course, having beautiful subjects to shoot helps, too, but only a little. There are beautiful photographs waiting to be captured around each of us.

More pictures, please!
