Default The earl of Salisbury ( William Byrd )

In 1968 John Renbourn recorded "The Earl of Salisbury" written by William Byrd.
This is the first title of his album "Sir John Alot"
the arrangement of John is in EADGBE, I am strongly inspired to translate it into DADGAD recess

Very well done, Rémy! I remember this piece from John Renbourn from way back! I have always loved this piece and you did a beautiful job on this!

Nice performance! I was introduced to this piece a few years ago in a class taught by Clive Carroll and I play his arrangement of John Renbourn’s version.

Thank you; I asked Clive if he had a score of his recovery but he did not write anything

Clive published his version in the November 2017 edition of Acoustic magazine. He also posted a link to a recording of him playing it:

http://www.clivecarroll.co.uk/acoustic-magazine.html

In class he demonstrated the differences between his version and John Renbourn’s. Clive’s version makes more use of barre cords. I had the nerve racking experience of playing part of this piece for him in class.

Yes I know all that but that's the answer I got from Clive
