Default Busted Hummingbird

This busted Hummingbird was for sale on Craigslist for $1,000.00 about a week ago. I just looked and it's gone. Who would buy this piece of junk? I wonder how much it sold for? What's it worth? Could it be fixed? How much would it cost to fix it? Would it sound the same if it was fixed? How much would it be worth if it was fixed? Looks 'totalled', to me.

Oh Man!
I need a beer!

Better yet, make that a keg.

Surprised the strings are still on it.

Unless it was owned by someone famous I doubt it was worth a grand to an informed person.
Was the case also crushed?

Mild player wear. That’ll buff right out.

Asking price was $1,000...but could have sold for MUCH less. If it sold at at all. Maybe it was just pulled by the seller. For obvious reasons...

Looks more like a Pete Townsend job than an accident.

Just a new top, sides can be rebuilt, so at a guess under 1k to repair, purchase 1k if paying their asking price, good used Gibson is upwards of 5k

I personally like buying this stuff to teach new apprentices with

It would make a cool project but not at a grand. Personnally I wouldn’t do much over $200 for it and that’s cause the neck is probably worth that. Resell would be almost impossible it to anyone that knew what it looked like before repairs. It would make a reall cool project if it was brought back to life tho
